Happy Birthday Liuwah!
Saturday, 16 April 2011 @ 21:37
Only half of what we eventually ordered.

Went out to celebrate Ms. Low Liuwah's birthday on saturday at Marche! for those who doesn't know, Marche's this cute little family-friendly restaurant that seems to just breathe the life of a bustling market from a foreign european country.
here's the glowing liuwah with her plate of grilled vege galore.

She spent so long parading around marche, trying to figure out what to eat. I had thought that all that pondering would have made her come back with a plate of heavenly delicacies. who knew she came back with a huge ass plate of ....grilled vege. =.=
Well, this girl is one of the loveliest, funniest girl i met in Singapore. She never fails to make your day when she opens her mouth. Never afraid of speaking her mind, you can trust her to give you her most honest opinions. and she makes the best shopping buddy ever. She's like a personal financial consultant/ budget-controller. she tells you what's worth your money and what's just....well...total junk.
Happy Birthday Liuwah! All in all, food in marche was pretty good. the swiss rosti especially. who could say no to shredded potato that's fried so crisply and served with a jumbo grilled sausage and sour cream?! i think the best thing about food in marche is that the food are always cooked right in front of you, so you will feel secure knowing all the ingredients that go into making the dish. :D the servings were a little too large for my liking though. got quite sick of my crepe half way through it. :) will always come back to marche again, mainly for the ambience. ;)
I still like the somerset 313 marche better though.

10 ways to end a NTU student's world: (extracted from april's Tribune)
1. 3000 words and 10 straight hours of typing at your laptop later, some idiot tries to use a foreign electrical appliance in the hall pantry and the power in the entire building goes out. you have not saved your document.
2. the exam starts at 10 am. you somehow manage to sleep through 3 different alarms and wake up at 11am.
3. you are on the last page of an online quiz when your computer hangs/ you have itchy fingers and decide to refresh the page. and the questions are different when you try to redo the quiz.
4. you skip an exam and decide to take an MC.The doctor tells you:"no, you dont need an MC." and you still have to pay for the consultation fee.
5. you knock into some random dude and do not say sorry because you're rushing for class. five minutes later, the same dude walks in and introduce himself as your professor.
6. you miss the S/U deadline.
7. you try to print an essay just before the deadline for a professor that insists on having the essays at the start of the class, but the printing auntie at the printing room has gone "out to lunch" , as the sign on the locked printing room door says, at 9.am.
8. you misread the deadline of a paper and your professor refuses to accept it without a grade deduction.
9. you get a straight F for a paper because the computer system accuses you of plagiarism. you actually just have a limited vocabulary.
10. your girlfriend/ boyfriend breaks up with you just before the exams.
No wonder NTU's full of the weird stabbing-professors, suicide stories. 0.0
